Student members of the cast and crew: Please share!
Hello families!
We are soon about to embark on the busiest parts of our show calendar: Tech Week and Performance Weeks 1 & 2. As we prepare for that time, I'd love to float a few things for those good folks around our student actors and production team members that support an effective show, healthy students, and a healthy IBWHS theatre program:
1) Push Rest, Nutrition, and Hydration! Wellness is tested during this time, and the fundamentals of human-ing are ever more important...for them and the folks counting on them.
2) School is still expected...in every way! Students should not be taking the day off and then showing up to rehearsal or the show...if someone is committed to, and well enough, for one, they're good for both. Also, engaging with classwork and communicating with teachers is a must.
3) Production fees are overdue for actors and crew! We receive no funding from the school/district, and production fees are a key to us nailing down the materials to meet our performance goals. Please go to either
https://pps.schoolpay.com/pay/
for non-actors, or
https://pps.schoolpay.com/pay/
for actors.
4) Starting on 4/28, students Called are expected to attend. As we enter Tech and Performance, every member of the cast/crew are needed to fulfill their individual role, and counted on by every member of the team. Remember: Families have already agreed that between 4/28 and 5/18, all conflicts will be shifted to non-call times to accommodate the show. We've worked really hard to accommodate those conflicts up to this point; it's other folks' turn, please.
5) There are some long hours ahead...and folk need to keep their strength and well-being up. I can coordinate it, but can't fund it all. If you can contribute to meals and snacks for these good folks, please do so with PayPal or Venmo (both @tragcom22). Anything is appreciated!
6) Schedules are posted here on the blog. Any questions should come to me (mjamie@pps.net) or director Matt Zrebski (teen.west.project@gmail.com)
7) Help us sell the show! Tickets are LIVE at southweststageworks.com!
8) Can't wait to see y'all here! Thanks for all the time with your amazing students!
