Food, Glorious Food!

Hey there -
So...the days are getting longer, huh?  Sustaining ourselves is gonna get more and more challenging.
Here's where you come in!
In the beginning of our process we typically ask you to fill out an informational form with a bunch of helpful information on it.  We blew it (and by we I mean I), and thusly don't have a good way to reach out to your families/folks to ask about support on foodstuffs for the run!  And we all want that, yeah?
Please fill out, or have your parental/support person fill out this quick Google form below to start the food process.  And thanks for your support!

Personal Info Link (not to be confused with your Bio)

Crew Calls - Tech thru Strike

Hey again, y'all -

As we enter the final stretch on the show, it's time to begin integrating some more of the spectacular human beings that are gonna make this show, ahem, sing.

Below are the call dates for the following folks:

5/1 - Koji Tsugawa, Russell Ellis - Door Paging/Backstage during Run

5/1 - Maddie Laboe, Anya Leontovich - Props during Run

5/1 - Adaya Smith, Arlo Austin, Alex Buckley - Costume Support during Run (+ Costume Build Team for Construction/Alteration/Finishing)

5/3 - Jack Reynolds, Ellen Murchison - Mics during Run

5/8 - Robin Boyce, Eliana Walcott, Parker Maly, Kip Craig, Giuseppe Lipari, Porter Gaab - Pre Venue Prep/Patron Support/Post Venue Reset

5/9 - Corinna Murdock (lead), Savy Carey, Perses Cooke, Red Ball (if available) - Makeup Team

In the past, there's been some wasted time for members of the crew, and we're working to minimize that as much as possible.

From your first call, until Strike, you're called each and every call on the Production Calendar (see: Callboard). It's a long haul, but this show is totally worth it!!!

Make sure you're keeping well and healthy, getting the sleep, staying in communication with teachers and families, etc. We're looking forward to integrating your work!

Please email me with any questions!

After much consideration, I believe the best use of time for TH 4/27 is to give people a break. So...

TH 4/27

Please take this extra day - and your four days away from Socks to address everything you need to work on privately.

IT'S ALIVE!!! (TICKETING WEBSITE, THAT IS...)

Good morning, all!

It's time to start buying tickets to this amazing show of ours!

Go to https://www.southweststageworks.com/online-ticket-sales.html for your people to get theirs today.

If there's one thing this show has shown us, it's that the only for-sure way of getting our audiences to show up is to be personally asked by a member of the show.  Parents/Guardians tend to be a given, but anyone else you know who might come generally need you to put in the work.  Our shows this year, Thespian, TP&M, or Mainstage, have gotten little turnout from the cool posters, reader boards, school newsletters, or websites.  You know what has worked?  Face-to-face asks or direct social media posts.  So that you know, the show is budgeted on 20 audience members for each actor, and 10 audience members for each crew member.  Can you get there?  Challenge yourself!

Beyond the budgeting, you and I both know that it's way more fun to perform for full houses than empty ones...we've had both this year.  You have all earned a darned appreciative audience for this hard-fought show!!!  Go get one!

Keep up the good work, all...the finish line is in sight (but not that close...we've still got time, lol)!

p.s.  Oops...I never hit publish this morning.  **facepalm**

Tech Calls - Weekend of 4/22 and 4/23

Hey all -

Contrary to popular theory, I'm not dead...yet.

As of right now, we will be adhering to the posted schedule on the Production Calendar:

-4/22: 500p-900p...Scenic/Sound Calls.  Scenic will be primarily be tasked with installing the seating risers; Sound will primarily be tasked with breaking down the existing sound rig and readying for install on Sunday.  Other focused, serious workers welcome to assist even if you're not formally on that crew...minimum hanging back, socializing, or creating obstacles.

-4/23: 300p-800p...Lighting/Sound Calls.  Both teams will be working with their Designers to build their rigs during this time.  Again, other focused, serious workers welcome to assist...minimum hanging back, socializing, or creating obstacles.

I'll send word out through the Remind (text @sw2socks to 81010 if you're not on the Remind yet) if anything changes, but plan on that this weekend!

See you there.
