Ramp Back Up! - SCHEDULE INFO

I hope you have all been enjoying your days away from the show.  You certainly deserved a much needed respite after such a focused and successful week.  Very proud!

And now - it's time to ramp back up!  We have excited audiences waiting to see what everyone has been talking about.  We have numerous special guests coming (including our incredible playwright), videotaping, adjudication, and...you should all hold the expectation that the show only gets stronger, more nuanced, and more focused with each performance.

Today - Tuesday 11/1:
Please take about 30 minutes to review all of your lines and blocking.  Don't assume, you'll simply remember it.  It's amazing how quickly our brains dump data when we get time off.  I've seen many a professional go into week two of a run and forget whole passages of lines and blocking.  This show is incredibly challenging, so please do you jobs and brush up.

Tomorrow - Wednesday 11/2:
This will be an intense and long day.  We have a photography shoot, set up for videotaping, and a show...  Here is the schedule.

3:45p
Actors - get into costume and make-up.
Crew - Set for top of show, full props

4:15p - 5:45p
Archive Photo Shoot
Crew - this will require a full set change to Act Two mid-way through
(We will do around 15 shots)

5:45p - 6:45p
Actors (get out of costume ASAP) - in 108, line through of the show.  Work separately with Act One folks doing their sections while Act Two folks do theirs.  Do a speed through.  Last - do the Sonny / Hazel / Nora / Everett section of Act Two.  You will need to eat while you do this.  When done, get back into costume.

Crew - Reset for top of show / Eat after you have reset

Video Crew - Set Up

6:45p - 7:30p
Fight Call / Warm Ups / Final Checks / House Open, etc

7:30p
SHOW!

IMPORTANT: ??? - Added Show - ???

The incredible success of our opening week of performances has resulted in the potential for an added show on Sunday 11/6.  If sales continue as they're currently trending, it would be an incredible opportunity for SouthWest StageWorks to obtain added income just in time for preparations for The Secret Garden and the rest of the season.

That said, it poses a challenge regarding strike and the current commitment by the actors and crew.  The added show would be at 2:00p on Sunday 11/6.  The current contracted commitment that day is 11:00a - 5:00p (6 hours). Obviously, there's not enough time to do a show that would end at 4:00p and then strike by 5:00p.

We are not certain if a show will be added, but we need to assess the availability and willingness of the company to take advantage of this financial opportunity (and the exciting prospect of having to extend a run!!!) before a decision can be made.

THE PROPOSAL FOR AN ADDED SHOW

Sunday 11/6/16
Call:  noon
Closing Show:  2:00p
Strike Begins:  4:30p - 7:00p

Monday 11/7/16
Strike Continues:  3:30p - 6:30p

Sign up sheets will go on the call board tomorrow, Halloween, for each of the strike dates/times.  Please sign up immediately (no later than end of school 10/31) if you are available and willing to add additional time to your Teen West commitment.

The number of people who sign up will determine if it's even possible to consider this fundraising opportunity for the department.

A final decision will be announced no later than Tuesday 11/1 at noon.

Congrats on doing such an extraordinary job that this conversation needs to take place - very cool!!!

NOTE:  The backstage door by 108 may not be used for entrances or exits during any of Act Two after the exit of the actors in the Act Two Prologue (Aftermath).  At all.  Period.  It was used 7 times last evening, causing loud disruption of delicate moments in the scene work.

NOTE:  No one may ever "hang out" in the voms on either side.  You are visible to the audience stage left, and you are a distraction to the booth stage right.

NOTE:  Prior to "Neil" entering in the dark in Act One, the back stage scoop light must be turned off.  It should remain off until the end of the act.

Did You Invite Anyone? - PREVIEW!!!

INVITED PREVIEW TONIGHT!
Wed. 10/26 at 7:30p
Show up in the lobby no later than 7:15p

Cast and Crew, please invite someone if you think they might not be able to afford the show, or who is already planning to see it and would like an early peek.  The goal is not to reduce revenue by giving away tickets - but it would be awesome to have a handful of people tonight. As of now, I know of no one coming... so, there's that.  I think having opening night be "cold" is never fun. So connect with some folks and get them there tonight!  Tell them the show gets out around 9:30p.
