For W, TH, and F shows, the auditorium lobby will be designated the homework / quiet space from 3:30p - 5:30p. Food will be provided (so long as leftovers remain) and set up after school in the scene shop.

AFTER SCHOOL

Due to the volume of work we need to archive and some difficult scheduling issues, the below agenda is really tight - and must be followed very carefully throughout the day.  You need to know what costume you must be in - and what room you must be in - and at what time.  Do not make us chase you down. 

For each room, we will start with a few set-up shots for still photos.  Very quick shooting. Then we will video a run. We will not have time to start over. You get one take for video, so review lines. (NOTE: Curtain Call will have a few more still photos and will have a pre-run and post-run shoot to account for the scenic and costume changes.)

Once an actor has completed the final play they are in, that actor may leave. For those in The Receipts, you will run Curtain Call..., then meet to decide your monologue choices...then you may leave and return at 7:45p in prep for the final shoot.  

At 5:30p, the choir room will become an official study hall for those who need a quiet space to work. This room is to be completely silent and used for homework only.

Once a crew member is done with their assignment, they may also leave.

Taegan / Annika, you need to be outside the rooms, keeping an eye on the schedule and making sure all are in places prior to Jamie, Ally*, the actors and me arriving.

*Ally - per our discussion, we'd like you to photoshoot this event - and you will be the only photographer. Please come with your camera and make sure things are well charged.

I have received a few emails and texts about the latest plan for remaining rehearsals / performances.  Though that was mostly all articulated in the blog post on 2/10, it's easy to understand confusion given our many contingencies.

Notes / Thoughts / Breakdown / Release

NOTE:  Call on TH 2/14 will be at 4:00p.  Specific plans for 2/14 will be determined based on today’s rehearsal.  The “go” for the preview will be at 7:00p.  Please alert your families that the show is long, and you will most likely not be done until 10:30p.  I will give notes via the blog, however, so as to get you out as soon as possible.  Call on Friday 2/15 will be 4:30p so we may continue to clean up trouble spots before opening.  We will continue to have food available on both 2/14 and 2/15. 

Costume Fittings...During School Hours! [UPDATED!]

Alana will be here ON CAMPUS during the school day today for costume fittings!  If you've not been fitted yet, or find your name on the list below, please make time during an off period, lunch, or if you've a period that your teacher is comfortable with you being out for 10 minutes (ask first...it is at THEIR discretion!), please make your way down to the costume room by 300pm.

The official call time for Home, Or Wherever and Believe You Me is 3:45p today.  Be in 108 at that time. 

For all others, it's 4:30p - BUT...if you are still on campus (and most of you will be - and eating), please check with Alana to see if she still needs to fit you for your costume(s).  We got behind yesterday (no one's fault - just lot to do!) and we all need to do what we can to reclaim those lost minutes!  

If you are done with costumes  please gather with your cast-mates while eating and run lines if there are still rough spots.

On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week, food will be provided right after school to get you fueled for rehearsals. Food will be set up in the main auditorium lobby at the far end near the exit door to the outside. It is important that absolutely no food drop on the floor and that once someone is done eating, they dispose of their trash properly. If basic rules of respect and cleanliness are not followed, we will suspend all food - and you will be on your own.

Also - when eating in this space, you may not sit or eat on the stairs or on the risers. You must stay clear of all "show space".  

This will be your "hang out" space prior to rehearsals this week.  108 is off limits: after school, it is now a show space only.  Later on, back stage will be the greenroom. 

UPDATE: Possible Plan...

As the snow "attack" was mostly a snow "whimper" - it's looking more and more as though school will be in session all week.  This is terrific news for our show!  But given the unbelievably unreliable forecasts, we are not releasing any holds just yet.  That said, I wanted to alert you to the newest plan.  Please keep reviewing lines, blocking, music, and do your homework! :)

Portland Public Schools has shut down the district for all weekend activities. We will not update the plan until we have a better idea of when school will be back in session.  Use your time wisely.

Do not partake in dangerous outdoor winter activities. Anyone getting injured would have to be replaced in the show - even if by an actor on book. Anyone coming down with illness due to cold exposure is no help to the production. So stay healthy!
