For those wanting an audio souvenir, the two suites from the show are now available through SoundCloud.  Hopefully you get a kick out of going through the musical journey of the show!

They are able to be downloaded temporarily - for about 2 weeks.  Please do not illegally share.  The music is protected under copyright law.

THE EXTENSION!!!

The addition of Sunday's show is so thrilling - and an amazing fundraiser for your department.  And the private emails and messages I keep getting from patrons illustrate how much the show is resonating.

EVERYONE!
Send out your texts, posts, etc. NOW.  Tell people that if they want advance tickets, they need to go online NOW for Sunday's show.  If they are met with a greyed out option that won't let them click to purchase, it means only about 20 tickets are left for walk ups. That's the case for tonight (Saturday) and may be soon for Sunday.  If you have people wanting to walk up, I urge them to arrive at least 15 minutes before box office opens.  So... 6:15p for tonight.  12:45p for tomorrow.  We WILL NOT hold seats for people or make special considerations.

Congrats on your work.  If you all had not been so committed, determined, oh...and freaking talented...this demand would not have happened.  So proud of you!

READ NOW!!! - Photoshoot Focus

***please tell your peers to read this / check blog!!!***

Various reminders / info:

-All involved in fight call must be in the auditorium, ready to go at 3:30p.  Once you are done, race to the dressing rooms and get into costume / make-up as quickly as possible.

-A photo list will be placed in each dressing room and in 108.

-During the photo shoots, no talking of any kind.  None, unless you are addressed.  It must be quiet and focused for Tom, Sarah, and me to communicate quickly.

-LOST_FOR_WORDS  is the first show being photographed.  The order of photos allows for more time for Clowns, Dash, Gage to get into full make-up.  That said, be as efficient as possible getting ready.

-Note the full company shot (curtain call) in the middle of the shoot.

-Red Sky cast is being photographed in reverse order, so that you will be in your opening costumes at the end of the photoshoot.  You will have to change costumes during the photoshoot, and you need to do it lightning fast.  Please look at the photo list and make a note of when you are changing.  Make sure costumes are ready backstage for you so that you can quickly do so.  (30 second changes!)

-Though I'm hopeful to be done by 6:30, I've written 6:45 on the photo sheet, and it would not surprise me if we go until 7:00.  You must all be prepared for an interruption in your usual flow.  And you must not allow this to affect your performances one bit!  Big house tonight.  Playwrights here.  Lots of theater professionals here.  Talkback after the show.  It's a full day, but dig deep, keep the energy up, and let's make it fun.

Game Faces!

When things get out of routine, people tend to make mistakes...

As of now, we are ON for our remaining shows.  Please make sure you have thoroughly read the most recent schedule.  Both today (Thursday) and Friday are long days with added time for line review and photos.

Check.  Your.  Call.  Times.

It's important that all remain professional, focused, and ready to improve upon the extraordinary work we did last weekend.  And please come in with positive, ready-to-perform attitudes!

Have a great day and see you this afternoon!

^All are required to attend strike.  In the event the show is selling extremely well, Sunday 2/25 will be used to add a matinee and extend the run.  Currently, there’s only a small chance we will extend.  Because of weather, sales may be down - and Thursday has not sold well at all.  A decision will be made by Friday morning 2/23 (if not before).  If the show is extended, the company will be asked to stay past 5:00p so as to begin strike and prep for auditorium events.  Those who cannot stay past 5:00p will need to make arrangements with Mr. Miller.  Please keep in mind that an extension is a terrific fundraiser for the department, so the potential extra time is appreciated and contributes to the cause!

Weather Updates

Weather is looking like it could become problematic in Portland this week. Please check the blog consistently for updates about winter weather related issues and how the show schedule might be affected. The hope is that all will go forward as planned. But...should there be delays, cancellations, etc...we will have contingencies activated.

Stay warm and safe...

5:30!!!

ALERT:  FULL COMPANY

Unless special circumstances arise, all call times going forward for show nights are as originally scheduled.  That time is:

5:30!

BUT...you are expected to be in Room 108 AT 5:30p, having already signed in.  We will always gather for a quick company check-in / notes at the top, then release people to get ready.

Please note that the call for Wednesday 2/21 (pick up / photos) will be different.  More on that soon.

READ! - Post Show Talkbacks

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Post Show Talkbacks
Friday 2/16
and
Friday 2/23

The post-show talkback will begin 5 minutes after curtain call.  Four chairs will be set up for Jessica Dart (dramaturg), Matt Zrebski, Jeff Denight, and Claire Willett on the deck between the two white cubes.

After curtain call, actors should race to get out of costume, but remain in make-up.  Then the actors should return to the stage through the back door and quietly come on, taking a seat on the set itself.  (No one may sit on the ladder).  All actors need to be barefoot or in socks for the talkback.  If an actor cannot stay for the talkback for family / personal reasons, they may check in with me about this at the 5:30p call - and go.  We expect it to go for 15-20 minutes.

The goal of the talkback is to discuss reactions to the plays, especially with regard to the issues raised in the pieces - to spark community engagement.  In addition, questions will likely come up about the process of bringing new work to the stage.
